Have you ever tried using the 420kj per hour rule? Basically, throughout the day you allow yourself 420kj (100 calories) per hour. If you eat a lunch that’s 1,680kj (400 calories) you shouldn’t eat for at least 4 hours. If you have a bit extra for lunch it should last you a bit longer.

Using this method is a good way to keep your calorie count under control. Try it!

“Use vegetables as the main event in your meals. At meals, I think of vegetables first, then I add protein and finally add carbs. It helps me keep the kilojoule content of the meal at a healthier level”

We’ve all seen the amazing weight loss results achieved by the contestants on the TV show, The Biggest Loser. So I’m going to share with you Bob and Jillian’s diet rules for The Biggest Loser. Here you go…

  1. Avoid fat and sugar
  2. Eat healthy complex carbs like whole grains
  3. Choose lean meats
  4. Eat lots of fish
  5. Choose low fat dairy products
  6. Snack on fruit
  7. Include healthy fats from olive oil, nuts and avocado
  8. Keep a food diary
  9. Exercises, exercise, exercise!

Well, you could argue wth that? You’ve seen the results on The Biggest Loser. So does your diet follow these rules? that’s food for thought!
