Does exercise make you bored? You’re not alone. I think about 4 out of 5 people I see in the gym are only there because they “have” to be. Exercise doesn’t have to be boring, you just need to zone out!

Zoning out means you’re concentrating on something other than how much it hurts of how tired you are. This is really good when you have to do a long cardio session. Some good ways to zone out are listening to your favourite music (mp3 players are lightweight and cheap these days), watching the TV, Thinking about what you’re going to do tomorrow, etc etc.

If you can learn to zone out while you’re training you’ll find it won’t become a chore.

It’s time to get back to basics. I have recieved several emails over the past few days regarding weight loss pills and supplements. I have a few things I want to say on the subject.

  1. Weight loss pills don’t work. Weight loss pills are over-hyped and the effects the have on the body are highly exaggerated. The pill producers tell you (without actually saying it to aviod legal implications) that you can just take these pills and lose weight. This couldn’t be further from the truth, and it annoys me everytime I see these ads.
  2. Weight loss supplements can help you, but only if you use them in conjunction with the right diet and exercise program. Like weight loss pills, some fat loss supplements are very over-hyped. You need to look past the packaging telling you how much weight you can possibly lose and read reviews, ask about it in store, ask other about the results they have achieved.
  3. Like I say in all my tips and articles, weight loss requires a multi-faceted approach. Meaning you must have a good diet plan, good exercise plan, the right mindset and some realistic goals. You can choose to try weight loss pills and supplements in conjunction with your plan, they may work for you they may not.

No one said weight loss was going to be easy, don’t look for an easy way out because you will more than likely be dissapointed with the results.
